My name is Greg Willson. I am interested in church planting, music and writing. I live in Manchester, England with my wife and son.
We moved to England from America to help start a church in a place that needs it. You can read more about that here. It’s kind of a crazy thing. And it’s not that we’re crazy people (well, not that crazy, anyway), it’s just that we’re captivated by something bigger than ourselves. As an artist I want to be continually creating better things. As a pastor, I get to participate in cultivating an environment where that creation can take place.
The name of the church is Redeemer, and we are in the neighbourhood of Chorlton in south Manchester.
I believe humans were created to live glorious lives, but messed it up. In fact, we mess it up every day. But within our darkness and despair, there is light. The God who made this world didn’t leave us alone, but has broken through to re-create a community for Himself. This good news is my passion, and I want to see it applied to all areas of life, from music to friendships, from the workplace to the living room, to those who are far off and to those who are near.
This site is an attempt to document and be in conversation with this good news. It also involves you to join in. I’d love to hear your honest thoughts and reactions. Thanks for visiting.
